Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Khathlan had a vision of creating a fine dining restaurant at the top of Kingdom Tower, 77 floors above the busy city of Riyadh. As this was not part of the original plans when building this iconic tower, Mr. Abdulrahman presented his concept to HRH. Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, who supported the idea and approved the development of this project. After overcoming many obstacles, he was able to pursue his dream and turn this unused space into one of Riyadh’s best restaurants, with scenery that cannot be found anywhere else in the city. Mr. Abdulrahman partnered with another Saudi entrepreneur for this project, and they successfully opened the restaurant in 2003 (under the ownership of Azwaq), naming it “Spazio”, meaning “Space” in Italian.
Since its opening, Spazio has built its reputation as the place to go for exceptional fine dining in Riyadh, with stunning ambiance and view which could not be found anywhere else in the city.
